The 2025 campaign season is in full swing leading up to several interesting local races including the Harrison City Council Race and the CIty of Cincinnati’s mayoral and council races.
I have not officially decided to enter the Ohio gubernatorial race as the first Libertarian to run for governor since Travis Irvine in 2018, but am working towards making an announcement at the appropriate time.
Since most Ohioans desire having a third alternative on their ballot, you may ask why wasn’t there a candidate in 2016? The answer is simple: One you have a two party system you wind up with one party rule. The Republican Party has help a veto proof super majority since 2010 and in 2013 passed SB 193, which made it virtually impossible for alternative parties to gain ballot access and run for office. Since 2013, The Libertarian Party of Ohio is the only alternative party to have ballot access from 2018 to 2020 and 2014 to the present.
I have been elected to two terms for Harrison City Council and I am the first ever Libertarian to be elected and serve the City of Harrison! I would appreciate your consideration as my wife, my family and I pray about a run for governor in 2026. May God Bless you, our great state of Ohio and my God bless the United States of America.
